Treatment Planning

We develop an individualized recovery/resiliency plan that includes the individual's, the family and/or significant other, as well as collateral agencies’ perspective, treatment providers, and other relevant individuals. The treatment plan is based on goals identified by the individual with parent/responsible caregiver involvement.

Community Support Individual/Paraprofessional

These services, provided by well trained and equipped paraprofessionals, consist of rehabilitation, behavior modification, and resource coordination considered essential to assist a youth and family in gaining access to necessary services and in creating environments that promote resiliency and support the emotional and functional growth and development of the youth.

Individual/Family Counseling

Provided by licensed professionals for the guardian, the families of children, and adolescents with behavioral, emotional, and/or substance abuse problems. This service may be provided with or without being physically present. This service is provided to direct family members towards restoration, development, enhancement, and maintenance of functioning of the consumer and family unit.

Service Model: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the service model used by The Simple Life Services and its clinicians. CBT is the foundation for treatment The Simple Life provides its consumers and was chosen on account of its focus on illogical patterns of thinking and the beliefs that underlie such thinking. By means of CBT, consumers learn how to restructure negative thought patterns in order to interpret their environment in a less biased way.


We utilize psychiatrists for assessments and monitoring of an individual’s status in relation to treatment with medication. Also, we use psychiatrists for the assessment of the appropriateness of initiating or continuing services with an individual.

Crisis Intervention

Services directed toward the support of a child who is experiencing abrupt and substantial change in behavior which is usually associated with a precipitating situation and which is in the direction of severe impairment of functioning or a marked increase in personal distress. It is designed to prevent out of home placement or hospitalizations. Our staff is on call 24/7 to handle any crisis or emergency.

Community Transition Planning 

This service is provided to address the care, service, and support needs of our clients to ensure a coordinated plan of transition from our services into the community independently; or from an institution/residential setting back into the community with our services. Our agency is in partnership with other community service providers, hospital facility/staff, and other community resources to ensure that this transition is made smoothly.
