Program Summary

Our program is devoted to the emotional and psychological development of children and adolescents who suffer from mental health disorders as a direct result of uncontrollable issues and circumstances in their home environment. The tools used in our program are designed to introduce and reinforce positive choices that can be made despite the issues of the client’s socioeconomic status.

We specialize in Intensive Family Intervention (IFI). Our IFI program is intended to improve family functioning by clinically stabilizing the living arrangement, promoting reunification or preventing the utilization of out of home therapeutic venues (i.e. psychiatric hospital, therapeutic foster care, etc.) for the identified youth.

Before counseling begins, we must complete an assessment, which can be done in the home, community, or at our counseling center. The assessment looks at the child’s strengths, supports, needs, problems, and helps identify and diagnose behavioral, emotional, and substance abuse issues. The assessment is used to guide the services and treatment the child receives.
